This fine edition was produced in Cuernavaca, Mexico, at La Siempre Habana workshop.

The engraving refers to the original painting of the same name, (2001), 49 x 71 Inches, 124.5 x 180 Cm; oil on canvas.

*Etching: Is traditionally the process of using strong acid or mordant to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design in intaglio (incised) in the metal.

A **Sugar Lift is a way of creating painterly marks on an etching plate using a sugar solution and a paint brush. The areas you paint are a positive mark. It is a form of ***Aquatint etching, which uses powdered rosin to create a tonal effect.
